Personal reflection of the competence:
The Contemporary Research Method Course among others equipped me with the knowledge and skills that are necessary to create a theoretical framework which is, a group of related ideas that helps one to manage properly a research project. The theoretical framework directs to a particular need. In this case, it points out a specific need among Haitian church members as far as personal finance is concern and also the need is in a particular area, the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, in Florida. This study shows that lifestyle, spirituality and economic environment are good predictors of personal finance. This research will improve the way Haitian church members manage their finances, help pastors and local church leaders to improve the way they preach and teach in their churches. This research course taught me to be diligent when a problem occurs. When a weakness is sighted in a business it must be addressed and cured right away in order to prevent a catastrophe.
