Communicate ideas in Spanish and English in written and spoken through the use of strategies metalinguistic abilities as well as the technologies of the communication with aperture, sensitivity and willingness to interact in a positive manner, giving presentations in public, written in areas scholars.
Personal reflection of the competence:
The doctorate program gave students the opportunity to be exposed to different languages as professors and staff came from different countries around the world. It was also structured to train students to gain reading, writing and speaking Spanish abilities that they may feel welcome and comfortable while learning within a new culture. Presentations were made in English and Spanish. That strategy enabled us to learn new theories and concepts in more than one language which prepared our minds to embrace diversity in the workplace.
